چکیده

A holographic correspondence between horizon data and space-time physics is investigated. We find similarities with the AdS/CFT correspondence, based on the observation that the optical metric near the horizon describes a Euclidean, asymptotically anti-de Sitter space. This picture emerges for a wide class of static space-times with a non-degenerate horizon, including Schwarzschild black holes as well as de Sitter space-time. We reveal an asymptotic conformal symmetry at the horizon. We compute the conformal weights and 2-point functions for a scalar perturbation and discuss possible connections with a conformal field theory located on the horizon. We then reconstruct the scalar field and the metric from the data given on the horizon. We show that the solution for the metric in the bulk is completely determined in terms of a specified metric on the horizon. From the General Relativity point of view our solutions present a new class of space-time metrics with non-spherical horizons. The horizon entropy associated with these solutions is also discussed. 1 e-mail: [email protected] 2 e-mail: [email protected]

Quasi-Normal Modes in Topologically Massive Gravity

We determine the black hole quasi-normal mode spectrum for tensor perturbations in topologically massive AdS-gravity. In the special case of chiral gravity quasi-normal modes are absent despite of the presence of a horizon. In the process we uncover a simple algebraic structure in the quasi normal modes spectrum: the tower of QNM’s consists of descendents of a ”chiral highest weight” QNM which ...

Area density of localization-entropy II: double cone-localization and quantum origin of the Bondi-Metzner-Sachs symmetry

The holographic encoding is generalized to subalgebras of QFT localized in double cones. It is shown that as a result of this radically different spacetime encoding the modular group acts geometrically on the holographic image. As a result we obtain a formula for localization entropy which is identical to the previously derived formula for the wedge-localized subalgebra. The symmetry group in t...

Stringy NJL and Gross-Neveu models at finite density and temperature

Nonlocal stringy versions of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio and Gross-Neveu models arise in a certain limit of holographic QCD. We analyze the phase structure at finite density and temperature at strong coupling in terms of probe branes in the gravity dual. Comparison with the phase structure of the local field theory models shows qualitative agreement with some aspects, and disagreement with others. F...

Matching Condition on the Event Horizon and Holography Principle

It is shown that the event horizon of 4D black hole or ds2 = 0 surfaces of multidimensional wormhole-like solutions reduce the amount of information necessary for determining the whole spacetime and hence satisfy the Holography principle. This leads to the fact that by matching two metrics on a ds2 = 0 surface (an event horizon for 4D black holes) we can match only the metric components but not...
